It’s rare to find a good space big enough for one of our Mini Jeep or Go Kart parties, so we were really pleased to discover this gem of a venue within a stones throw of Holland Park, Kensington or Notting Hill. It’s in a quiet street so parking is a whizz, although we note that most parents arrive by taxi!
Space and facilities
The Portobello Rugby Trust is an unusual venue because the hall is below ground. You enter the building into a small foyer, with the reception to the right, and the staircase dead ahead. At the bottom of the stairs there is another foyer, but this opens onto the hall. When you first open the doors I guarantee you will be amazed – you won’t be expecting such a large space down below!

A small surcharge…
The space here is brilliant but unfortunately the loading is a nightmare, as we have to cart our equipment up (or down) a flight of stairs. This adds at least 30 minutes each side of our normal setup/packup time. Regretfully this means we have to charge a £125 fee for parties at this venue. But we reckon it’s well worth that it’s so good!
