Of the three halls available at Mount Grace (Gracewood) this is our least favourite, not because of the facilities and space which are excellent, but purely because the architects didn’t think about who might be using the hall, and didn’t put in any sensible access.
Would you believe that for a large party we have to walk 4 kilometers by the time we have loaded and unloaded! All because the architects didn’t think to put a vehicle friendly access in. Rant over…
Please do note that due to the poor access to this building there will be a difficult access surcharge if this hall is booked. It’s variable according to the number of Jeeps, but is detailed at the bottom of this page.
The two other halls on this site are Main Hall (different access), and the Gymnasium (Gym). Both the sports hall and the Gym are located on the lower part of the school grounds, and are accessed via Mount Grace Road. It has plenty of parking and is easy to find.
The sports hall is modern and spacious, but the acoustics aren’t great. Although the space is good, and plenty big enough to add a bouncy castle, the noise levels with the fans running do cause a little bit of nuisance.
