Hermitage Village Hall is a fantastic local venue for Wacky Wheelers Mini Jeep driving parties, offering a spacious indoor hall that comfortably accommodates the full track while still allowing plenty of room for a safe and enjoyable driving experience. The venue’s layout makes it ideal for children’s birthday parties, with additional space for seating, party food, and spectators. Popular with families in Hermitage, Thatcham, and the wider West Berkshire area, it provides a well-balanced setting for a fun, stress-free kids’ driving party.

What are the facilities like at Hermitage Village Hall?
For holding a Wacky Wheelers Jeep Driving Party you really can’t go wrong at Hermitage Village Hall. The main hall (Pinewood Hall) is 18x10m, and given our standard track is 15x10m, it means that you have 30 square meters to use whilst the kids are having the time of their lives driving our brilliant mini Jeeps or Go Karts. It has a small kitchen leading off it in the corner which means you can also do food in the same hall. However, if possible, we totally recommend hiring the 2nd hall (Furze Hall) to set up the birthday food. This room is almost a bit overkill for this, as it’s almost big enough for a Jeep party in itself (it’s 14x9m), but if you want to hold an extra large party that includes lots of family and friends, we think this is a perfect solution as it has French Doors that open onto a small covered patio. If you have a smaller party, say under 20 kids, then perhaps you don’t need to hire the 2nd hall.
The kitchen off the Furze Hall is very well equipped, and has a serving hatch that opens onto the hall. The loos are between the 2 halls and are very clean. There is also a committee room that we think could also be used for food – but you’d have to check on that front as we haven’t seen it so don’t know how big it is.
Outside there is a great play area, where the kids can blow off steam either before or after the party.

A Wacky Wheelers 4.5 Star Rating
This venue is so close to being a 5 star venue – in fact it was but we just downgraded it as they have bolted some benches down in front of the entrance, which makes loading, which was easy, harder. It’s silly really, as if the weather is bad, rather than reversing a vehicle to within a metre of the door, its now 6 or 7 meaning not only do the parents get wet while bringing stuff in, but so does all the equipment. It makes a huge difference! It doesn’t have a separate access to the main hall, so shouldn’t really have qualified for a 5 star, but it was so close to the main entrance that it didn’t make a huge amount of difference. But sadly the benches have tipped it over the edge for what otherwise is a truly superb venue. The rooms, the kitchen, acoustics, space, loos, everything is tip top, so once you are in, you’re pretty much guaranteed an excellent party.
