For the best boys and girls parties in South Surrey use Cranleigh Village Hall
Cranleigh Village Hall is a marvellous place to hold your child’s party – especially a Wacky Wheelers kids car driving party!
Good party venues in this area are far and few between, so Cranleigh Village Hall is such a good find. It has it’s drawbacks as do many venues, but they are far outweighed by it’s excellent features. If you are in the Ewhurst, Cranleigh or Dunsfold area we’d thoroughly recommend it. In fact – if you are anywhere in the area South of Guildford – we suggest you consider it.
Here’s what we think of Cranleigh Village Hall as a venue for a kids party:
What are the facilities like at Cranleigh Village Hall?
Cranleigh Village Hall is smack bang in the middle of Cranleigh Village, supposedly England’s largest village. It was built in 1933, and unusually for such an old hall, it’s quite large, which is good news for you! It’s located right next door to Sainsbury’s, so if you suddenly run out of drinks or realise you’ve forgotten the candles for the cake, you don’t have far to run!
We estimate the main hall to be about 15m x 12m, but because the main doors have ‘wings’ it reduces the useable length to roughly 14m. It still works for us though – and as you can see, our inflatable track sit quite snugly.
There is a sort of ante room with doors that open to the side of the building on one side of the hall. This room has a serving area/bar at one end – which is really handy. You could set up the party food area in here, or on the stage.
Loading and Parking
This is the area that the hall falls down on. Loading is ok, as there is an extra loop of road with double yellows directly outside the hall. This means that we can stop on to unload without upsetting the flow of traffic, but sadly also means we can’t leave the vehicle there. A car park is close by with oodles of spaces, but just means we have to make sure we haven’t forgotten anything! Your guests will be fine though!

The booking process is a little demanding – as all sorts of paperwork is required (which of course we have as we’ve been in the game a long time). But we guess that means the CVH admin are doing their job properly! They were the first venue to ask us for a particular piece of documentation in 17 years!!!

If the Village Hall at Cranleigh isn’t available when you are looking for a party, then we have some suggestions. If you are desperate to stay local, then why not take a look at Glebelands School, also in Cranleigh. It has a large sports hall that we reckon would be ideal. For more details take a look at our page here. If you don’t mind travelling further afield, then have a look at either the Wilfred Norris Centre in Godalming, or again in Godalming the Charterhouse School Leisure Centre.
